espanolLa comunicacion pretende recuperar y poner en valor la figura de D. Pedro Benito Gomez Labrador, Marques del Labrador y de San Salvador, nacido en Valencia de Alcantara el dia 30 de noviembre de 1764 y fallecido en Paris el 18 de junio de 1850. Se centra en el estudio de la figura de este politico y diplomatico extremeno, a traves de la documentacion que sobre el y su familia se conserva en el Archivo Historico Provincial de Caceres. Entre esta documentacion se encuentran algunos valiosos documentos que nos hablan de la importancia que la figura del Marques del Labrador tuvo durante el reinado de Fernando VII y su importante papel, siendo embajador extraordinario en Napoles, en los acuerdos matrimoniales de este rey con Ma Cristina de Borbon dos Sicilias. Tambien encontramos mucha documentacion sobre la participacion del Marques en el Congreso de Viena y su decadencia politica debido a su apoyo al Carlismo EnglishThis paper aims to recover and give value to the figure of Mr. Pedro Benito Gomez Labrador, Marquis of Labrador and San Salvador, was born in Valencia de Alcantara on November 30, 1764 and died in Paris on June 18, 1850. The paper focus on the study of this political figure and diplomat of Extremadura through the documentation on him and his family is preserved in the Provincial Historical Archive of Caceres.Among these documents are some valuable documents that speak of the importance of the figure of the Marquis of Labrador was during the reign of Ferdinand VII and his important role, being ambassador extraordinary in Naples in marriage arrangements of this king with Maria Cristina of Bourbon two Sicilies. We also found a lot of documentation on the participation of this Marquis in the Congress of Vienna and its political decline due to its support Carlismo.
