Abstract
Though the overhaul of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) asked by\nthe Trump administration may introduce possitive improvements for the three country\npartners, it obeys to an attittude of distrust towards the North American integration\nprocess of the last two decades. A regression in the advance towards greater regional\nconvergence could revive the geopolitical tendencies of the three countries of North America. While some of them could push for a tightening gap between Mexico and the\nUnited States, others could lead to a growing absorption of Canada by its southern\nneighbor.
