Lucio Agra é doutor em Comunicação e Semiótica pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Foi professor do curso de graduação em Comunicação das Artes do Corpo na PUC-SP e atualmente é professor Adjunto da Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia. Tem experiência na área de Comunicação e Artes, com ênfase em Semiótica das Artes, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: poesia - poética - arte e tecnologias, performance - artes do corpo, performance, poesia - poesia eletrônica e digital e performance- arte, tecnologia e vanguardas, teorias da comunicação. Além dessas atividades também é artista da performance e curador. Como artista, apresentou performances e palestras em diversos festivais nacionais e internacionais tais como E-Poetry (2001, Buffalo, Paris 2007 e Buffalo 2011), RIAP (Québec, 2010), Instituto Hemisferico (Bogotá, 2009), Encontro de Poesia Experimental (Montevideo, 2009), 10 Dimensões (Natal), Vazio (Manaus) e Performance, corpo, política, tecnologia (Brasília), todos em 2010. Em 2009 foi um dos indicados para o Prêmio Sérgio Motta na categoria obra em meio de carreira.
