Abstract
Les inventaires après décès, actes notariés par excellence, regorgent de détails et nous informent sur le mode de vie des apothicaires au XVIIIe siècle. Ainsi, pour les plus significatifs d’entre eux, nous avons la description exacte d’une apothicairerie : drogues, remèdes, pots, etc. À partir de l’exemple de deux régions représentatives de la métropole et de la colonie et au passé historique lié par l’immigration : la Basse-Normandie, qui fournit à l’époque nombre de colons, et le Canada, nous nous intéresserons à ce que possèdent les apothicaires et à ce qu’ils utilisent dans leur quotidien professionnel. Une des questions primordiale est de connaître l’influence de la médecine amérindienne dans la pharmacie française et canadienne-française au XVIIIe siècle.
