Blended source acquisition has drawn great attention in industry due to its increased efficiency and reduced overall cost for acquiring seismic data. Effective sampling and deblending techniques are essential to acquire and process blended source data. In this paper, we discuss several practical aspects of marine blended source acquisition, including planning and QC, survey design and deblending approach. The results from field data indicate that high-fidelity deblending is achievable through NUOS design and multi-stage inversion. A carefully designed and executed blended source acquisition can be used for both exploration and development objectives.
