Abstract
Je me suis jointe à l’équipe de RTaC en tant que rédactrice adjointe au début 2016, alors que la dernière campagne présidentielle américaine venait à peine de voir le jour. Donald Trump était en train d’écraser les autres candidats aux élections primaires du parti républicain, mais personne—du moins personne avec qui j’avais l’occasion d’échanger, ni aucun des chroniqueurs que je retrouvais dans mes fils d’actualité préférés—ne s’imaginait qu’il pouvait vaincre Hillary Clinton et remporter les élections. Au moment d’entamer mon mandat de rédactrice et de boucler notre dernier numéro en octobre, nous étions nombreux à travers le monde à attendre avec impatience que Hillary écrive une page dans l’histoire. Nous craignions que les choses se passent autrement, sans jamais croire vraiment qu’il pourrait en être ainsi. Et pourtant, nous voilà au printemps 2017, devant les réalités dures et souvent injustes produites par la présidence de Donald J Trump.
