Abstract
Partindo de uma reflexão sobre o discurso da “nova governamentalidade empresarial” (DARDOT & LAVAL, 2016), o texto discute implicações da noção de empreendedorismo sobre o ethos profissional do jornalista e sobre o desenho da figura de um profissional mais ou menos valorizado segundo essa nova racionalidade, em um cenário onde a saída para o auto-emprego (criação do “negócio próprio”) é desenhada como alternativa no mercado de trabalho. Argumenta que o esforço para conter uma ação orientada explicitamente ao interesse econômico, própria de um cuidado distintivo cultivado pelo campo profissional (a partir de valores éticos, humanistas), é tensionado, quando se postula uma espécie de síntese entre a figura do jornalista e do sujeito empresarial. Problematiza ainda o processo de “envelhecimento social” experimentado por jornalistas que não estão em conformidade com novas formas de mobilização da subjetividade postas em funcionamento no mundo do trabalho, vinculadas a noções como flexibilidade, inovação, criatividade, polivalência e capacidade de empreender.
