Abstract
O presente artigo tem como objetivo principal determinar o papel que o nacionalismo exerceu na eleição de 7 abril de 2014 na Província do Quebec, no Canadá. Para isso, realizamos uma pesquisa documental junto a três jornais quebequenses francófonos, La Presse, Le Devoir e Le Journal de Montréal nos quais identificamos, ao longo da campanha eleitoral, um total de 490 publicações relacionadas à questão nacional quebequense, o que revela a notável atenção recebida por esta temática na cobertura midiática das eleições. A análise destes dados nos permitiu identificar que cada um dos quatro partidos com representação parlamentar adotou pontos de vista diferentes sobre a questão nacional, apresentando visões concorrentes sobre o futuro político do Quebec. Este cenário nos leva a concluir que a relação com o projeto de independência continua a estruturar a política quebequense.
