Les recherches menées au cours des dernières années font état d’une difficulté pour les enseignants à saisir le concept « oral » et à cerner ses objets d’enseignement/apprentissage (Dumais, 2014 ; Garcia-Debanc, 2004). Afin de remédier à cette problématique, une recherche de nature théorique, dont la méthodologie est l’anasynthèse (un processus général d’élaboration d’un modèle [Legendre, 2005]), a été réalisée. Elle a permis de mieux définir ce qu’est l’oral et d’élaborer une typologie des objets d’enseignement/apprentissage de l’oral comportant 2 grands volets (un volet structural et un volet pragmatique) ainsi que 10 types incluant 334 objets de l’oral définis.
