Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

EnglishThe Malaga writer Jose Ricardo Morales went into exile in Chile arriving at 1939 on Winnipeg, shipped from Spain by Pablo Neruda. His full work has been published between 2009 and 2012. His dramatic texts join his essays, especially those about Arquitectonica (Architectural). The uprooting of the exile determines his literary and essay works performing life absurd situations. His theatre work shows the concern about the word or logos. Morales took to the stage his concerns about scientific totalitarianism and dehumanization of the scientific and technological revolution. His social concerns drove him to a strong intellectual commitment. The playwright “presses” the drama, and puts in action conflicts, ideas, images and conceptions. He has been called the precursor of the Theatre of the Absurd. His theatre work is a verbal experiment, a linguistic construct that lights up the absurd in life situations.
