Abstract
Comment l’espace éducatif est-il devenu le lieu où se produisent la plupart des expériences politiques des jeunes Chiliens ? Une enquête réalisée de 2011 à 2012 à Santiago du Chili, lors de la mobilisation sociale la plus importante de l’histoire récente du pays, observe de nouvelles formes de contestation utilisées par les lycéens et les étudiants chiliens. Sur la base d’une série de récits biographiques et d’observations, cette étude se centre sur les pratiques politiques radicales mises en place lors des occupations de lycées par les jeunes. Parmi les plus visibles se trouvent l’organisation de collectifs, l’autogestion éducative, la démocratie directe et l’action directe violente. Cette enquête fait le constat que les jeunes engagés dans l’occupation de lycées transforment leur espace principal de sociabilité, au moins pour une période, en espace émancipateur et de subversion de l’ordre dominant.
