Abstract

Dans le contexte général de déclin des valeurs traditionnelles et d’éclatement des grandes institutions (Église, famille), l’entreprise s’affirme comme l’un des derniers lieux possibles et stables d’investissement, du simple fait qu’elle est encore pourvoyeuse de signes, de repères, de croyances et de valeurs. À ce titre, elle est sollicitée par chacun très au delà du simple registre économique. Réciproquement, l’entreprise a plus que jamais besoin des individus dans leur totalité, physique et psychique, et ce double mouvement entraîne l’apparition d’un mode de management qui sollicite et mobilise fortement les individus au niveau psychique. L’article tente, dans un premier temps, de situer le contexte de l’apparition de ce nouveau mode de management et d’en décrire les différents aspects, puis, dans un second temps, d’en repérer les effets sur l’individu.
