Abstract
A insuficiencia renal cronica consiste na perda gradativa e progressiva das funcoes dos rins, o que pode repercutir em restricoes e causar impacto psicossocial no individuo. A alexitimia e um constructo caracterizado pela dificuldade que o individuo apresenta em identificar e expressar a emocao. O presente estudo avaliou a presenca de alexitimia no paciente com lesao renal cronica dialitica. E tambem analisou a adequacao das suas respostas a TAS-20 para a populacao estudada. Trata-se de um estudo transversal de abordagem quantitativa, realizado no periodo de marco a abril de 2012, com uma amostra com 20 pacientes de ambos os sexos atendidos em um servico de dialise na cidade de Sao Paulo. A avaliacao foi realizada com a versao em Portugues da Escala de Alexitimia de Toronto. O estudo mostrou que 45% dos individuos com escore ≥ 61 apresentam alexitimia e que o instrumento utilizado e adequado para a populacao pesquisada. Abstract : Chronic renal failure is the gradual and progressive loss of kidney function, which may be reflected in restrictions and psychosocial impact on the individual. The alexithymia construct is one characterized by difficulty the individual features to identify and express emotion. The present study evaluated the presence of alexithymia in patients with chronic renal lesion dialytic. And also reviewed the adequacy of their answers to the TAS-20 for the study population. This is a cross-sectional study of a quantitative approach, carried out in the period from March to April 2012, with a sample with 20 patients of both sexes met in a dialysis service in the city of Sao Paulo. The evaluation was carried out with the Portuguese version of the Toronto Alexithymia Scale. The study showed that 45% of individuals with score ≥ 61 feature alexithymia and the instrument used is suitable for the population under study.
