Abstract
L’auteur analyse ici l’une des rares expériences de TV locale menée en Suisse et à laquelle il a lui-même participé. Huit ans de tentatives de constituer une télévision locale qui « donnerait la parole aux usagers » aboutissent à un échec dans le sens où les autorités locales s’efforcent d’exercer un contrôle croissant sur le projet, le soumettant à leurs intérêts. Mais ce projet a agi comme un révélateur : les enjeux politiques de la communication sont devenus plus présents, les partisans et adversaires ont dû se situer. « En cherchant le pouvoir de l’image on a fini par se retrouver face à l’image du pouvoir ».
