Abstract
RESUMEN El articulo presenta una reflexion sobre la imagen de Colombia en el exterior, por medio de diversas campanas publicitarias que invitan al extranjero a visitar y conocer el pais. Sin embargo, se manifiesta como los medios de comunicacion han fomentado una imagen negativa del mismo, sin potenciar los logros de reconocidas celebridades colombianas como Shakira, Fernando Botero y Gabriel Garcia Marquez, entre otros. Finalmente, como parte del trabajo de investigacion realizado en el semillero de investigacion “ComTic”, perteneciente al Grupo de Investigacion de Linguistica y Comunicacion Organizacional de la Universidad EAN, se presentan (en espanol e ingles) los resultados de una encuesta realizada a 51 extranjeros de: Argentina, Portugal, Espana, Francia, Estados Unidos, Grecia, Mexico, Inglaterra, Turquia, Honduras, Chile y Canada, acerca de su percepcion y conocimiento sobre Colombia.
