Tout au long de cet article, il est propose d'explorer le champ de la mediation culturelle a travers l'univers de la communaute sourde. Malgre les ameliorations des dispositifs de mediation culturelle en contexte museal, il existe encore des personnes qui ne frequentent pas ou peu les musees. Il s'agira donc de reflechir aux difficultes rencontrees par la population sourde dans leur acces aux institutions museales en y analysant trois thematiques : les besoins particuliers de cette communaute ; les dispositifs de mediation qui existent au Quebec et ceux qui pourraient etre implantes ; sans oublier les elements pouvant constituer des pistes de solution. La recherche s'orientant selon une dynamique d'enquete exploratoire qualitative, les elements apportes dans la communication permettront de clarifier un sujet tres peu couvert tout en delimitant rigoureusement ses composantes. Le but de cet article sera de prendre conscience des differences entre les publics des musees et de sensibiliser sur les besoins d'une accessibilite globale et adequate en fonction des caracteristiques propres a chacun d’eux.
