Abstract
Sommes-nous en train de réaliser enfin les promesses libérales de la société moderne, de faire preuve d’une capacité de différenciation et d’inclusion que certains ont déjà désignée comme la trajectoire de la société occidentale depuis la Réforme ? Ou est-ce que le pluralisme contemporain et le racisme qui en est le résultat représentent plutôt une nouvelle étape dans ce qu’Auschwitz et Hiroshima ont déjà signalé comme constitutif de la société moderne ? Le discours actuel du pluralisme devient-il une nouvelle idéologie raciste, intégrée aux nouveaux procès de régulation sociale, technocratiques, post-modernes ? Telles sont les questions qui ont inspiré cet essai critique.
