In the past decade, cloud service provider offerings and customer awareness of how to use them have evolved significantly. One of the major developments has been the evolution of customers from using a single service from a single provider to using multiple clouds in a true, integrated multicloud. Due to industry characteristics such as differential and dynamic pricing, emerging technologies such as containers and standards that facilitate workload migration, and the needs of customers to minimize spend yet maximize performance and availability, cloud brokers such as UCX are becoming an essential element of the entire ecosystem.
