Abstract
Avant d'expliciter le rôle de la « fonction Personnel » dans l'établissement de relations plus favorables entre le syndicat et la direction, l'auteur soulève des questions qui nécessitent certaines définitions, telles que: « bonnes » relations entre syndicat et direction, « fonction personnel » elle-même et son champ d'application et d'exercice. Pour parvenir à la réalisation de bonnes relations, certaines attitudes fondamentales de la part de la direction sont nécessaires: acceptation du fait syndical, de l'union telle qu'elle est et pour ce, une vaste compréhension du passé historique, et intégration de la « philosophie » du personnel. L'auteur rappelle ensuite au lecteur certaines prérogatives directoriales et en arrive au rôle spécifique de la « fonction personnel » elle-même avec les diverses phases qu'elle comporte.
