Faire de la recherche avec des adolescents pour résister au discours des « jeunes à risque » : un exemple québécois

Abstract
Cet article suggère qu’une pratique de recherche critique et réflexive avec les adolescents peut contribuer à la transformation des représentations dominantes de la jeunesse dite « à risque ». Un exemple concret de recherche menée avec des adolescents masculins québécois d’origine canadienne française dans un contexte de préoccupation importante au sujet des « garçons qui vont mal » montre les effets transformateurs qu’induit une vigilance éthique et méthodologique sur la production des connaissances. Le dispositif méthodologique de recherche avec les jeunes présenté reconnaît ces derniers comme des sujets de connaissance pouvant pleinement participer à la compréhension de leurs réalités. En favorisant le déplacement du chercheur dans le monde des adolescents, l’approche avec crée un espace sécurisant pour écouter vraiment et comprendre de l’intérieur.
