Abstract
A publicação de Da imperfeição (2002), de Algirdas Greimas, fez com que a problemática do aconteci- mento emergisse dentro da teoria semiótica, chamando atenção para a necessidade de se colocar em relevo o estudo da continuidade, que, até então, havia sido deixado em segundo plano. A semiótica passou assim a direcionar suas preocupações para o universo do sensível, de modo a deixar-se influenciar pelas teorias fenomenológicas. Nessa nova configuração, Claude Zilberberg traz o acontecimento para o centro de suas preocupações e passa a abordá-lo sob a perspectiva da tensividade, desenvolvendo, assim, um instrumental de análise que passou a contribuir também para o estudo de narrativas que nascem do excesso. Este artigo tem como objetivo evocar esse arcabouço teórico desenvolvido em torno do acontecimento para analisar a letra da canção “A banda” (2007), de Chico Buarque, que apresenta o evento extraordinário em sua centralidade.
