Abstract
This study aims to understand the academic acculturation experiences of Chinese international students with low oral English proficiency currently studying at a Canadian university. Chinese international students constitute the biggest international student group in Canada. Many Chinese students have limited oral English proficiency, which significantly influences international academic acculturation. However, little is known about the lived academic acculturation experiences of Chinese international students with low oral English proficiency. This study is structured as a musically enhanced narrative inquiry, an approach that builds on narrative inquiry and involves working with participants
