Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The active control of vortex shedding from a bluff body consisting of three rotating cylinders in triangular arrangement is studied numerically and experimentally. The flow is characterized at low Reynolds number Re ~ 4000 - 6000. Open-loop cases are considered to understand the influence of maximum rotation rate Ω and the non-dimensional forcing frequency F* scaled by the cylinder radius R and the free-stream velocity U ∞ . Feedback control is considered by acquiring the hot-wire sensor signal in the wake and using it for the cylinders rotation speeds update. Adaptive and robust controllers are also be designed for the closed-loop control. As the parametric space for the controllers parameters is very large, machine learning using genetic programming will be a major technique for the command law optimization.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
