Abstract
De nombreux dispositifs visant à démocratiser l’accès à la pratique et la consommation culturelles se basent sur un partenariat renforcé entre les ministères en charge de l’éducation et de la culture et les collectivités territoriales. À partir de l’exemple probant du déploiement, en Mayenne, du dispositif « orchestre à l’école », l’article se propose d’éclairer les raisons qui peuvent expliquer l’accueil favorable dont il a bénéficié dans ce département, et de rendre compte de l’ensemble des retombées qu’il induit, tant en termes de développement de compétences solides et variées chez les élèves bénéficiaires, qu’en termes de transmission intergénérationnelle et d’animation artistique du territoire.
