Créé en 1991 par le Carrefour Culturel d’Arnaud- Bernard, le repas-de-quartier a pour objectif de favoriser le vivre-ensemble et de faire face à la tentative d’embourgeoisement du quartier organisée par la municipalité de Toulouse. L’analyse du temps spontané, éphémère et discontinu des repas-de-quartier questionne la création de liens sociaux, mais également la réalisation dans le temps long d’une manifestation de la démocratie directe : une participation citoyenne créatrice d’une communauté productrice de son lieu de vie. L’accessibilité des sources conduit le chercheur à une pratique interdisciplinaire afin d’analyser cet évènement singulier à plusieurs échelles.
