Abstract
Ce rapport de recherche a été réalisé dans le cadre d’un mandat confié à une équipe du Centre Urbanisation Culture Société de l’Institut national de la recherche scientifique par le Conseil emploi métropole. Ce mandat visait à réaliser une recension des écrits sur les deux points suivants : \n- Discuter de la notion de mauvais appariement spatial et des initiatives prises dans les métropoles du Canada et d’autres pays en vue de favoriser un meilleur appariement entre les lieux de résidence et d’emploi des immigrants. \n- Discuter de la notion de ségrégation ethnique et documenter les facteurs influençant le choix de localisation résidentielle des immigrants au sein d’une zone métropolitaine. Il s’agissait aussi de vérifier si la proximité aux lieux d’emplois est un critère important dans leur choix de localisation résidentielle.
