Abstract
This article brings insight into the intercultural collaboration of the play First Draft between Egyptian and Canadian theatre artists. Playwright, Coleen MacPherson, and director, Sarah Warren, share their experiences in reworking this Canadian play with StudioZAT in Cairo. It illustrates that this kind of work is imperative in a globalized society and furthermore in an increasingly xenophobic political landscape.
