Abstract
Without treatment, children are at risk for deterioration of existing amblyopia Various factors influence the outcome of visual acuity following amblyopia treatment in this group of children. Patching regimens, initial visual acuity, the age of the subject at the start of treatment, level of compliance with treatment, the presence of significant astigmatism, and binocular vision status have all been shown to have significant influence on final visual acuity following treatment
