Abstract
ResumoEste artigo de caráter empírico refletiu o tema Governança Corporativa e analisou sua implicação quanto a estrutura de capital no Brasil, tendo como impulsionador científico a sua aplicabilidade na atual competitividade empresarial.Nesse contexto, buscou-se verificar se existe relação comprovada entre as empresas controladas por Holdings e seus respectivos níveis de endividamento.Para tanto, o método utilizado foi o modelo de regressão de dados em painel.Como consideração final da pesquisa, inferiu-se que, tanto a quantidade de acionistas quanto a presença de uma Holding entre eles não exerce influência no nível de endividamento da empresa e que a presença de um acionista controlador e majoritário pode interferir no seu nível de endividamento.
