Du point de vue de la création, c’est-à-dire du point de vue de ce qui relie la diversité de ce que je fais, il y a une relation au vivant, à l’imaginaire et au contemporain qui passe par l’expérience terrain. Cette performativité de la création, du vivre et de l’habiter rapproche la distance critique (la négativité) de la nécessité d’imaginer (la création) ouvrant ainsi un espace de résistance et d’imagination éthique que je désigne parfois par l’expression l’atelier fait terrain. Cet article prend forme depuis l’atelier d’un petit livre en cours de réalisation et se tourne vers l’un des terrains de proximité de cette expérience performative : la maison expropriée que Patricia de Burgh Paré déplace de Sainte-Scholastique vers une forêt laurentienne à proximité d’un village de colonisation et d’une réserve indienne. Une maison-laboratoire où je vis et que je débâtis, bâtis, rebâtis depuis plus d’une dizaine d’années. Vivre avec cette maison, c’est éprouver dans mon corps certaines violences propres à une culture humaine de l’espace dans leur relation avec une posture de création. Une méditation anthropologique et un dialogue avec la création comme question décisive – la question du vivre et du vivant.
