Développement professionnel des enseignants : regards croisés des enseignants du collégial privé et de leur direction sur les besoins et l’offre de perfectionnement

Abstract
Dans une étude visant à dresser le portrait du développement professionnel des enseignants des collèges privés du Québec, il était essentiel de nous intéresser aux besoins de perfectionnement des enseignants et à la façon dont la direction priorise ces besoins. Nous avons mené une recherche descriptive auprès de 112 enseignants et leur direction, provenant de 12 collèges, afin de croiser leurs points de vue. Nous avons constaté que les points de vue divergent : le type de connaissances pour lequel le plus grand nombre d’enseignants ont mentionné vouloir en apprendre davantage est celui que la direction juge le moins prioritaire, et le type de connaissances que la direction juge le plus prioritaire est celui pour lequel les enseignants ont le plus souvent évalué leur niveau de maitrise comme étant fonctionnel ou supérieur. Nous proposerons des pistes favorisant un meilleur arrimage de l’offre de perfectionnement aux besoins et intérêts des enseignants.
