ESTUDO DA VIABILIDADE DO REUSO DA ÁGUA REJEITADA PELO SISTEMA DE OSMOSE REVERSA EM UM SERVIÇO DE HEMODIÁLISE

Abstract
O uso da água é vital às atividades e necessidades populacionais básicas, entretanto, crescem evidências dos impactos decorrentes do uso contínuo e muitas vezes desordenado desses recursos hídricos, além de gestões inadequadas, incapazes de garantir a sustentabilidade (UNESCO, 2018). Este estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva de abordagem quantitativa que teve como objetivo principal, verificar a viabilidade do reaproveitamento da água rejeitada pelo processo de tratamento por osmose reversa no setor de hemodiálise de um hospital universitário de Natal-RN. Para tanto foi necessário medir a quantidade de água descartada pelo sistema num período de 30 dias e fazer a análise físico-química e microbiológica dessa água, para confirmar a praticabilidade do reuso. Verificou-se que a média do volume de rejeito descartado foi de 910, 4 litros por dia e os resultados das análises da água, tanto do ponto de vista microbiológico quanto físico-químico, mostraram-se satisfatórios para classificação da água em vários procedimentos de reuso, atendendo às quatro classes sugeridas pela NBR 13969/97. Os resultados do estudo serão úteis para a gestão hospitalar no que tange ao uso sustentável dos recursos hídricos, bem como ao seu melhor reaproveitamento e, servirá também como estímulo e base de dados para futuras pesquisas relacionadas ao tema.
