Este artigo apresenta um mapeamento do campo da comunicação organizacional com base em uma revisão crítica da produção intelectual acadêmica do período 2010-2014. O estudo mostra as principais tendências demográficas e de afiliação das pessoas que produzem esse conhecimento, assim como as tendências temáticas, metateóricas e metodológicas. Os resultados são contrastados com as tendências do campo na Anglo-América. Embora se encontrem algumas coincidências, se destacam aqueles elementos que fazem do campo na América Latina um espaço acadêmico particular.
