Abstract
Le roman Pour seul cortège, écrit par Laurent Gaudé, narre les dernières heures de la vie d'Alexandre le Grand et la lutte engagée par ses généraux pour posséder son corps, symbole du pouvoir. Les procédés d'écriture recréent ce monde passé et densifient la narration. Le romancier s’empare à la fois du réel historique et des espaces laissés libres dans le temps pour perpétuer le mythe. L'Antiquité devient ainsi matière romanesque et nous amène à nous interroger à propos de notre société et de notre présent.
