Abstract
La lymphogranulomatose venerienne (LGV), est une infection sexuellement transmissible (IST) systemique due a la bacterie Chlamydia trachomatis, qui survient rarement dans le monde occidental [1]. Cependant, en janvier 2004, les responsables de la sante publique aux Pays-Bas ont identifie une epidemie de cas de proctites liees a la LGV chez les hommes ayant des relations sexuelles avec d’autres hommes (HSH) [2]. Depuis lors, des cas ont ete declares dans plusieurs pays d’Europe, ainsi qu’aux Etats-Unis et au Canada. Dans ce numero d’Eurosurveillance, trois pays decrivent leur situation actuelle vis-a-vis de la LGV [3-5].
