Abstract
Alexithymia concept basically indicates the problems about defining and expressing feelings of individuals. One of the aims of this study is to investigate the relationship of alexithymia, anger and anger expression styles with coping styles and psychological symptoms. Another aim of this study is to investigate the relationship of gender and mother and father education level as indicators of socio-economic status with alexithymia level. For this aim, with Demographic Information Form, to assess whether the participants have alexithymic characteristics 20-item “Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20)”, to assess anger and anger expression styles of participants “State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory” (STAXI), to define the participants’ ways of coping with stressful life events “Ways of Coping Inventory (WCI)” and to screen psychological symptoms of participants “Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI)” were implemented to the participants which were composed of 434 (224 women, 190 men) students fro
