Abstract
Cette etude porte sur le bilinguisme chez les eleves des colleges de proximite en Cote d’Ivoire. L’enquete se deroule dans le departement de Tiebissou, precisement dans la sous-prefecture de Lomokankro, au centre du pays. L’objectif qui vise a evaluer les effets de la langue maternelle sur le rendement scolaire en contexte bilingue permet de formuler l’hypothese selon laquelle il existe un lien entre le bilinguisme, et les performances scolaires chez les eleves. Le questionnaire, l’observation et l’entretien sont mis a contribution pour le recueil des donnees sur la base des methodes quantitative et qualitative. L’exploitation des donnees indique que les bilingues produisent les meilleurs resultats et sont plus sensibles a une integration a la vie scolaire.
