Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract The enigmatic story of the nun Mettiyā's expulsion from the sisterhood, seemingly for the false accusation of rape against the monk Dabba Mallaputta, has piqued the interest of modern scholars of Indian Buddhist monastic law ever since it was discussed by I.B. Horner in 1930. To date, however, no one has put forth a convincing explanation of the legal grounds for Mettiyā's expulsion. This holds true not only for modern scholars, but also it seems for the fifth century CE author(s) of the Samantapāsādikā, a commentary on the Pāli Vinaya.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
