La progression spectaculaire du roseau aux iles de Boucherville, dont la superficie des populations est passee de 1 a 33 ha entre 1980 et 2002 (Hudon et coll., 2005), suscite beaucoup d’interet. Preoccupes par la presence de plus en plus importante du roseau commun au Quebec, huit professeurs-chercheurs, rattaches a trois universites quebecoises (Laval, McGill et Montreal), ont cree le groupe Phragmites grâce a l’appui de plusieurs organismes gouvernementaux et non gouvernementaux. Ce groupe a joint ses efforts a ceux du parc national des Iles-de-Boucherville en vue d’etudier les modes de dissemination de la plante et repondre a plusieurs questions relatives a l'impact de cet envahisseur sur ses ecosystemes. Cette collaboration a ainsi donne lieu a l’elaboration de nombreux projets de recherche, dont la majeure partie a ete realisee par des etudiants-chercheurs. Puisque la principale roseliere du Quebec se trouve au parc national des Iles-de-Boucherville, ce parc a constitue un site tout indique pour la realisation de ces travaux, en voici donc un apercu
