El género Williamsoniella (Thomas) y flora asociada de la Formación Zorrillo-Taberna Indiferenciadas (Jurásico Medio) Oaxaca, México

Abstract
En este trabajo, se registra la presencia de elementos paleofloristicos y litologicos de la localidad Canada Alejandro. Esta Canada pertenece a la Formacion Zorrillo-Taberna Indiferenciadas, expuesta en los alrededores del poblado de la Heroica Ciudad de Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca. Los ejemplares se recolectaron en una secuencia intercalada de lutita arenosa y lutita. Resalta el organo reproductor de naturaleza bisexual Williamsoniella . Se define a este genero como una estructura inmadura y no ha sido reportado con anterioridad en Mexico. Tambien se determinaron un total de seis ordenes: Cycadales, Filicales, Equisetales, Ginkgoales, Pinales y Cycadeoidales. Este ultimo es el orden mejor representado con nueve generos, los mas abundantes son: Zamites y Otozamites . Dentro de este ultimo se da a conocer otro nuevo registro para Mexico: Otozamites gramineus . El ambiente donde se desarrollo esta flora correspondio a una zona de deposito de baja energia de tipo deltaico. La paleoflora de Canada Alejandro es una asociacion muy diferente a las registrada hasta ahora para el Jurasico de Mexico, compuesta por elementos relictos, especies endemicas y de amplia distribucion como es el caso de Williamsoniella sp. y Otozamites gramineus .
