Abstract
"Voce degli studenti" è un movimento pedagogico nato negli anni novanta in alcuni paesi di lingua inglese (Stati Uniti, Canada, Inghilterra e Australia). Supporta la partecipazione attiva e responsabile degli studenti ai processi di formazione attivati nella scuola e nell'università. Per includere le voci degli studenti in questi processi, gli adulti (insegnanti e amministratori) devono riconoscere i loro diritti di essere ascoltati e rispettati come persone con interessi, bisogni di apprendimento e idee che possono risolvere i problemi della didattica scolastica/universitaria, della ricerca educativa e delle politiche culturali in cui si devono prendere decisioni che li riguardano. In questo studio, sono presentate le diverse forme di partecipazione degli studenti a questi processi, in base alla loro età, livello di istruzione, maturità personale e competenza. Si inizia con la descrizione di sei ricerche educative ispirate alla "Voce degli studenti" che si sono svolte in diversi Paesi dei cinque continenti (Spagna, Ghana, Nuovo Galles del Sud, Emirati Arabi Uniti, Messico e Illinois) e due ricerche italiane con cui si chiarisce come il ruolo degli studenti può cambiare a scuola e all'università (grazie ad un approccio educativo autenticamente inclusivo e democratico). Allo stesso tempo, sono indicati alcuni rischi che derivano dalla consultazione degli studenti e dalla promozione della loro partecipazione ai processi di formazione e di ricerca.
