Abstract
Les discours portant sur les implications de l’Internet sont souvent ambivalents, partagés entre des aspirations utopiques et des peurs dystopiques. Cette contribution vise à sortir la discussion de ce dilemme éculé. La place prépondérante de l’Internet et ses vastes implications pour la vie moderne ne peuvent être décrites adéquatement en termes d’utopie ou de dystopie, bien que certains de leurs aspects accompagnent de plus en plus sa lente maturation. Ceci est particulièrement évident lorsqu’on considère l’impact de l’Internet sur la sphère publique. C’est dans ce domaine que se produit quelque chose de vraiment nouveau. Il s’agit ici de préciser le sens de cette affirmation.
