Abstract
Le Japon, le seul pays au monde à avoir subi la réalité d’une guerre nucléaire, est renommé comme l’un des leaders dans le domaine des activités pour le désarmement. Cependant, le Japon est aussi légataire d’un militarisme oppressif et d’un contrôle spécialement autoritaire. Cet article discute de la possibilité pour le mouvement pour la paix et le désarmement de changer radicalement l’organisation politique et le partage du pouvoir dans la société japonaise; il commente aussi l’effet qu’a une structure de groupe hiérarchique, caractéristique de cette « société managérielle », sur l’organisation du mouvement pour le désarmement lui-même.
