Abstract
L’article cherche à comprendre le rôle joué par le Canada face à l’initiative du président Obama de rapprochement entre les États-Unis et Cuba et, plus largement, cherche à évaluer l’influence qu’a pu avoir Ottawa sur les décisions prises par Washington et La Havane dans la gestion de leurs relations. Pour ce faire, l’étude sélectionne quatre périodes importantes dans l’évolution du triangle Canada-États-Unis-Cuba afin d’analyser le comportement du gouvernement canadien ainsi que les réactions de ses homologues. L’analyse aboutit au constat d’une influence peu importante du Canada sur les relations Cuba-États-Unis de la Révolution cubaine à aujourd’hui.
