Abstract
L�encaix del Quebec en el si de la federacio canadenca es encara avui una questio irresolta. Alain-G. Gagnon fa un repas de les relacions, sovint conflictives i tenses, entre la provincia francofona i els diferents governs liberals i conservadors des dels anys seixanta fins a les eleccions del passat mes de maig del 2011. El professor Gagnon analitza els principals esdeveniments que han marcat aquest periode, i en concret la imposicio d�un nou ordre constitucional (1981-1982), les propostes fallides de reforma constitucionals de la segona meitat dels vuitanta i principis dels noranta i les consequencies derivades del fracas del referendum del 1995. Per acabar, l�autor se centra en l�actual era conservadora, marcada, alhora, pel daltabaix electoral del Bloc Quebeques i del Partit Liberal i l�ascens com a segona forca politica al Canada del Nou Partit Democratic. No obstant aixo, i mes enlla de comportaments electorals puntuals, el suport a la sobirania del Quebec continua sent forca estable i el Bloc Quebeques podria estar renaixent davant de les postures inflexibles del Partit Conservador.
