Este documento tiene como finalidad aportar una visión general respecto al proceso de desminado humanitario de Mozambique y Colombia, a través del análisis descriptivo de diferentes variables que permiten identificar la incidencia del factor de cooperación internacional en estos procesos. Por tal razón surge el siguiente interrogante ¿En qué medida, el factor de cooperación internacional incide en los procesos de desminado humanitario tanto de Mozambique como de Colombia?De esta forma, para responder el anterior cuestionamiento se establece el análisis de las tres siguientes fases en donde se abordan aspectos concernientes al grado de importancia que se le ha otorgado al tratado de Ottawa y su aplicación en Mozambique y en Colombia, evaluando sus implicaciones en cada escenario. En segundo lugar, se hace referencia al tipo de cooperación que se puede identificar en los procesos de desminado humanitario que se llevaron a cabo en los dos países en cuestión. Por último, se destaca el papel de los actores que influyen directamente en los procesos de desminado humanitario, haciendo especial énfasis en el rol que juegan los Estados, las Organizaciones No Gubernamentales y organismos multilaterales.
