Abstract
Azərbaycan xalq musiqisinin cox genis yayilmis novlərindən biri də rəqslərdir. Mədəniyyət incilərimizdən sayilan rəqs sənəti qədim dovrlərdən zəmanəmizə kimi yasayaraq xalqimizin adət-ənənəsini, insanlarin ictimai həyat tərzini, məisətini, estetik zovqunu ozundə əks etdirmisdir. rəqslərin hər birinə onlarin ozunəməxsus musiqi dilinə, intonasiyasina, ritminə uygun adlar verilmisdir. Bəzi rəqslər oz yarandigi yerin, tarixi ərazinin adini goturmusdur. Bu sahədə calisan gorkəmli musiqisunaslarimizdan Məmmədsaleh Ismayilovun, Bayram Huseynlinin, Əhməd Isazadənin və basqalarinin elmi əsərlərində, tədqiqat islərində rəqslərin təsnifati məsələlərinə də toxunulmusdur. Aparilan arasdirmada rəqslərin muxtəlif tərtibatda gostərilmis əvvəlki təsnifatlari da nəzərə alinmis, onlarin oxsar və fərqli cəhətləri muqayisəli səkildə təhlil edilərək yeni səpgidə təskil edilmisdir.
