Abstract
As the reality of climate change affects more and more people, climate change litigation and environmental rights litigation are becoming more important. The European Convention on Human Rights was, of course, not created with such issues in mind, but it has been developed continuously through the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). In this open-access article, it is shown that the ECtHR can provide a forum for effective human rights litigation concerning climate change and environmental rights.
