Abstract
Le surréalisme imaginé par André Breton était francophone : Breton avait horreur des langues étrangères. Voilà pourquoi ce mouvement rayonna dans les pays européens limitrophes et reconnut les surréalistes qui s’exprimèrent en français. Plusieurs Roumains et quelques Québécois furent reconnus par Breton en raison de la langue. Les surréalistes grecs, qui tous parlaient français, tardèrent à se faire reconnaître, car leurs œuvres – sauf une exception – étaient en grec.
