Abstract
Ring-closing metathesis (RCM) offers versatile catalytic routes to macrocycles, with applications ranging from perfumery to production of antiviral drugs. Unwanted oligomerization, however, is a long-standing challenge. Oligomers can be converted into the cyclic targets by catalysts that are sufficiently reactive to promote backbiting (e.g., Ru complexes of N -heterocyclic carbenes; NHCs), but catalyst decomposition limits yields and selectivity. Incorporation of a hemilabile o -dianiline (ODA) chelate into new catalysts of the form RuCl 2 (NHC)(ODA)(=CHPh) accelerates macrocyclization, particularly for dienes bearing polar sites capable of H-bonding: it may also inhibit catalyst decomposition during metathesis. Significant improvements relative to prior Ru-NHC catalysts result, with fast macrocyclization of conformationally flexible dienes at room temperature.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
